Rayan Khreishi, Executive Director of the Equestrian Sports Company for Events, confirmed that the great support and wise leadership of the sports sector contributed to facilitating the Kingdom's success in hosting any major international sporting event. He said: "The Kingdom has become the focus of everyone's attention and the first sports capital in the region.
Thanks to the unlimited support of the leadership, and the keen interest and follow-up by His Highness the Minister of Sports, Chairman of the Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and the President of the Saudi Equestrian Federation.
Khuraishi expressed his great happiness at what the "Jump Saudi" championship has achieved in its second edition, due to the riders' turnout for participation and the volume of media coverage, especially the internationally ranked riders competing in the show jumping competition after the success of the first edition last year. He said: "What distinguishes the Jump Saudi Championship is its international classification with the support of the FEI (International Federation for Equestrian Sports) which determines the qualifiers for the Show Jumping World Cup.
He added, "The beauty of the tournament was also highlighted by the high levels of riders for the two one-star categories, in which male and female riders participate and it gives them space to raise their levels, as this version witnessed the participation of 139 male and female riders representing 22 countries and 198 horses."
